The SSA Marine Port Pass Office issues port passes to cruise terminal tenants, cruise representatives, ground transportation providers and Ceres employees & contractors.

Port Pass Application
If you have not already filled out a port pass application, use the port pass application link to complete one. Once you have completed an online application and received a confirmation email that it has been approved you can use the book online link to book your port pass appointment.
Port Pass Appointment (Once application is approved)
To book a port pass appointment with SSA Marine you need to complete the following steps.

Have your company sponsor you for a port pass. Once you are employed/being sponsored by has sent in a sponsorship, you will receive an email with a link to complete the online port pass application.

Fill out the online port pass application form.

Receive the confirmation email that your port pass has been approved.

Once these steps are completed you can click the "Book Appointment".
MTSC Application
If you are required to obtain a Marine Transportation Security Clearance (MTSC), you must make an appointment with the MTSC enrollment office.

Get your Port Pass at the BC Trucking Association
Truck drivers or anyone driving a motor vehicle with a gross vehicle weight of 5,000 kg or more must obtain their Port Pass from the British Columbia Trucking Association (BCTA). BCTA is also responsible for issuing Port Passes to all courier companies, bus companies and all suppliers to motor carriers (e.g., mobile vehicle repair services or towing companies).
Get your Port Pass at the Chamber of Shipping
If you are not a member of the Chamber of Shipping, you will require sponsorship from a Chamber of Shipping member company, facility operator, or the Port of Vancouver, which must be confirmed by the sponsor via email to portpass@cosbc.ca
Sponsorship Options:

Management of business transactions on-board vessels require sponsorship from a shipping line or cruise line agency

If you do not need access to vessels but provide services to terminal operators, sponsorship from a designed terminal security officer is required

The Vancouver Fraser Port Authority will sponsor its tenant companies that require access to port property

Cruise Ship Contractors/Suppliers require sponsorship from the Cruise Line’s local Vancouver agent, Cerescorp, or the cruise line directly

Transport Canada only accepts MTSC applications that have been completed electronically online. Please bring a printed copy of your completed MTSC application to the enrollment office for your appointment, along with all required documentation.
